Crabs Communicate By Waving And Drumming Their Pincers

Crabs are aquatic decapods or 10 limbs crustaceans.There are 4,500 true crabs species.

The other 500 crabs species are hermit crabs..king crabs..porcelain crabs..
horseshoe crabs..and crabs lice.

The smallest crab is Pea Crab(0.27 to 0.47 inches length).

The largest crab is Japanese Spider Crab(12 feet length).

Crabs have the`out of the side and back in' leg joints shapes that makes them walk sideways.Crabs are blue blood creatures due to the existence of copper.

Their lifespan range between 3 to 4 years.
Their habitats are sand..coral..earth substrate..forests burrows..and the wild.

Crabs are omnivores and they consumed fungi..algae..mussels..snails..and insects.

Their predators are varieties of shore birds..
seals..raccoons..otters..tortoises..and eagles.

A group of crabs is called a cast.

Male crabs are called jimmies.Young female crabs are called sally or she crabs.Mature female crab is called sook.Female crabs lay 1,000 to 2,000 eggs for two weeks pregnancy.
